Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Age group of \>18 years critically ill admitted in intensive care unit
  • •2\.Only the first ICU admission during a hospital stay will be included.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Patients with amputation, surgery, neurological, or rheumatological problems involving the lower limbs.
  • •2\.Patients with skin lacerations or wounds in the areas selected for ultrasound evaluation
  • •3\.Patients readmitted to the ICU during the same hospital admission and patients transferred to other ICU/hospitals were excluded from the analysis
  • •4\.Pregnant females
