Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •All eligible newborns for KMC with weight at the time of enrollment between 1500grams to 2499 grams admitted in step down neonatal ward will be enrolled in the study provided they are expected to stay in step down neonatal ward for minimum 5 days after enrollment. The eligibility criteria for KMC are ââ?¬â?? low birth weight newborns who are physiologically stable and whose mothers are willing to give KMC.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) Newborns with congenital anomalies, 2\) Newborns with history of birth trauma and 3\) Newborns whose mothers are physically unfit due to any medical illness.
