Investigators
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\) Patients with epilepsy who meet any of the followings (1 drug resistance, 2 drug use difficulty due to side effects, 3 high expectancy of seizure freedom by surgery, which leads to significant benefit on social life)
- •2\) Patients who undergo intracranial electrode placement for the purpose of epileptic focus localization and functional brain mapping
- •3\) Patients who are 16 to 60 years old at the time of consent acquisition
- •4\) Patients who signed the consent form by the patient's own free will after sufficient explanation and understanding on participating in this study
- •5\) Gender does not matter
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) Patients with intellectual impairment and higher brain dysfunction (full scale IQ \<60 by WAIS or WISC)
- •2\) Patients whose participation in this study is judged as inappropriate by the principal investigator/subinvestigator
