1. The patient above 18 years requiring mandibular third molar surgery.
2. Impacted mandibular third molar ( mesioangular, horizontal, vertical, and distoangular) which are included in Pedersonâ??s Difficulty Index.
3. Medically fit for the surgery
1. Patients with uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension.
2. Patients with clinically evident local infection.
3. Patients with diagnosed oral submucous fibrosis or mouth opening less than 35 mm.
4. Immuno-compromised patient
5. Patient under active steroid therapy â?? 20mg of cortisone or its equivalent daily for 2 weeks in last two years.
6. Allergic/ intolerant to medications that will be given post-operatively
7. Patients with impacted third molar with facial or jaw swelling.
