Patients of madhyama koshtha having signs and symptoms of Purishaja Anaha (Constipation) as described in Ayurvedic classics will be selected for the present study. Assessment of madhyama koshtha will be carried out. Purisha parikshan (Stool examination) will also be carried out as per Ayurvedic method.
Patients having age less than 20 years and more than 60 years. Patients not having madhyama koshtha. Patients suffering from any systemic disease which intervenes with the treatment.Patients having any established pathology of Mah astrotasa. Patients in which Haritaki and Sauvarchala Lavana are contraindicated.

Name Time Method Improvement in selected signs and symptoms of disease. Haritaki-Sauvarchal lavana group is more beneficial than Haritaki (single drug) group.Timepoint: 10 days
