Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •\- Diagnosis of schizophrenia according to DSM\-IV\-TR (early onset en late onset)
  • •\- Age between 18 and 65 years. Exclusion of patients older than 65 years considering the influence of aging processes on cognition.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- Substance dependence according to the DSM\-IV\-TR.
  • •\- Personality in A or B cluster according to the DSM\-IV\-TR.
  • •\- Moderate to severe depressive disorder according to the DSM\-IV\-TR.
  • •\- Total IQ score below 70 on the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale IV (WAIS\-IV).
  • •\- Patient wholly or partially deaf or blind.
  • •\- Patient doesn't suffiently understand explanations and instructions prior to the study or insufficient (eg insufficient mastery of Dutch).
  • •\- Congenital and non\-congenital hersenletslel.
  • •\- Amnestic syndromes according to the DSM\-IV\-TR.
  • •\- Suicidality
  • •\- GAF \<50
