•- Diagnosis of schizophrenia according to DSM-IV-TR (early onset en late onset)
•- Age between 18 and 65 years. Exclusion of patients older than 65 years considering the influence of aging processes on cognition.

•- Substance dependence according to the DSM-IV-TR.
•- Personality in A or B cluster according to the DSM-IV-TR.
•- Moderate to severe depressive disorder according to the DSM-IV-TR.
•- Total IQ score below 70 on the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale IV (WAIS-IV).
•- Patient wholly or partially deaf or blind.
•- Patient doesn't suffiently understand explanations and instructions prior to the study or insufficient (eg insufficient mastery of Dutch).
•- Congenital and non-congenital hersenletslel.
•- Amnestic syndromes according to the DSM-IV-TR.
•- Suicidality
•- GAF <50
