- To measure the Mean platelet Volume (MPV), Platelet Distribution Width (PDW) Plateletcrit (PCrt), Platelet-to-White Blood Cell Ratio (PWR) and Platelet to Lymphocyte ratio (PLR).

Prospective, Cross sectional, Non-interventional Observational study c patients with Acute Ische Stroke in Tertiary care teaching hospital KMC Manipal 10 Cases definition: rapidly developing clinical symptoms or signs of focal or global loss of cerebral function with symptoms lasting for more than 24 hours. Cases included in the study are patients admitted in the medical wards who are diagnosed to have stroke based on the above definition and who meet the inclusion criteria.
Each patient is assessed and severity of stroke is stratified using the NIHSS at time of Presentation and at Discharge time / after 7 days.

- •ANYBODY WHO IS ABOVE THE AGE OF 18 YEARS AND DIAGNOSIS OF ISCHEMIC STROKE CONFIRMED BY CRANIAL CT OR MRI WITHIN THE FIRST 24 HOURS OF THE DISEASE APPEARANCE.

- •Hemorrhagic Stroke, Previous Stroke, TIA, Head Trauma, Previous Brain surgery , CNS Infection CKD CLD Post CABG HIV-AIDS Patients Autoimmune diseases / positive CRP/ Acute infection Anti-Platelet , Anti-lipids, ACE inhibitors, Anticoagulants, Hydroxyurea Anticancer drugs PVD Leukemia / Thrombocytopenia / Vit B12 deficiency/ MPS / ITP.
