Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Age more than 18 years, both males and females
  • •\- All cases of Pituitary macroadenoma presenting with visual complaints
  • •\- Patients undergoing both transnasal and transcranial surgeries
  • •\- Patients whose tumour was totally removed or whose optic apparatus was adequately
  • •decompressed

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- Age less than 18 years
  • •\- Patients unwilling to participate in the study
  • •\- Patients with a history of intraocular surgery or laser surgery
  • •\- Patients who had a residual tumour on postoperative CT scans were excluded from the
  • •\- Other tumours causing compression of the chiasm or optic neuropathy (including
  • •glaucoma) were excluded from the study
