Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Age more than 18 years, both males and females
  • - All cases of Pituitary macroadenoma presenting with visual complaints
  • - Patients undergoing both transnasal and transcranial surgeries
  • - Patients whose tumour was totally removed or whose optic apparatus was adequately
  • decompressed

Exclusion Criteria

  • - Age less than 18 years
  • - Patients unwilling to participate in the study
  • - Patients with a history of intraocular surgery or laser surgery
  • - Patients who had a residual tumour on postoperative CT scans were excluded from the
  • - Other tumours causing compression of the chiasm or optic neuropathy (including
  • glaucoma) were excluded from the study
