Inclusion Criteria

Patients having ASA physical status I & II

Patients of either sex

Patients aged between 18 to 60 years

Elective surgery less than or equal to 3 hours under general anaesthesia

Exclusion Criteria

Patientââ?¬•s refusal.

Patients with difficult airway

Patients who are allergic to any of the test drugs

Patients with severe cardiovascular, respiratory, hepatic or renal dysfunction

Recent history of respiratory tract infection

History of chronic smoking

Patients posted for emergency surgery.

Patients with history of alcohol or drug abuse.

Patients with more than one attempt of intubation.

Duration of laryngoscopy and intubation >30 s

Unexpected difficulty in ventilation or intubation

Laryngospasm or bronchospasm occurrence

Time span from completion of nebulization to intubation >20 mins
