Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\) patients age: 60 years \~95 years
- •2\) radiographically proven femoral neck or intertrochanteric fractures
- •3\) having pain from hip fracture
- •4\) received none or only one dose of parenteral analgesia
- •5\) normal distal neurovascular status
- •6\) able to consent and actively participate.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) refusal of the patient
- •2\) history of allergy to the study medicine
- •3\) contraindication to puncture in the affected inguinal area
- •4\) patients not able to understand the study protocol
