- Brief Summary
Results Primary outcome measure H-reflex data 1) Maximum amplitude of H-reflex (Hmax) The Hmax measurements after the application of MFAC at the 90% pain threshold were significant between pre- and post-intervention groups (P = 0.016) and between before intervention and 10 min after intervention groups: P = 0.013. There were no significant differences for the same times with a MFAC stimulation at the 50% pain threshold. 2) Maximum amplitude of M-wave (Mmax) Analysis of the measurements of Mmax for the 90% and 50% MFAC intensity showed no significant differences in any of the measurement periods. 3) Hmax/Mmax ratio Only the analysis of the Hmax/Max ratio difference, at the 90% pain threshold between pre- and post-intervention groups, and between pre- and 10 minutes after intervention groups, showed significant differences (P = 0.048 and P = 0.004, respectively) Secondary outcome measures MAS MAS scores only showed significant differences at the 90% pain threshold of MFAC, between pre- and 10 minutes after the intervention groups (P = 0.028). Ankle ROM Ankle dorsiflexion ROM, with the 90% pain threshold group after MFAC stimulation, showed a significant difference between pre- and 10 minutes after intervention groups (P = 0.046.) There was no significant difference in the 50% pain threshold group after the application of MFAC.
