Inclusion Criteria are male and female alcohol-addicts, age: 18-70 years with diagnosis of alcohol dependence according to ICD-10 criteria.
Because of frequently existing comorbid depressive symptoms, an existing depressive medication is limited to the drugs Sertralin (Zoloft®) und Remergil (Mirtazapin®).
The ability to agreement after Fully Informed Consent and existing Written Informed Consent) is presupposed.
- alcohol-addicts younger 18 years or older than 70 years
- dependence of other substances (nicotine allowed)
- drug treatment, which influences the results of the study, especially patients with intake of thiazide, tetracycline, sodium fluoride, bisphosphonates and corticosteroids
- fatal physical sickness, especially of the calcium metabolism, operation of thyroid gland or parathyroid and kidney or adrenal sickness
- fatal hypertonia or increased cardiovascular risk profile
- female: pregnancy (with pregnancy test)
- intake of anti-craving drugs
- anti-craving drugs shoud be settled out prior two weeks
- suicidal tendency or degree of competition from outside suppliers

Name Time Method Is it possible to reduce craving and relapse to anew alcohol consumption via a calcium diatry supplement in alcohol-addicts?<br>The primary goal is the relapse and the second goal is craving.<br>Patients are asked to write down their daily volume intake via a drink protocol. Moreover the have to documentate alcohol consumption (relapse) and beverage type.<br><br>With or without relapse to a alcohol consumption, the survey duration is 2 month. In these 2 month there are 5 measure days (day 1, 7, 14, 28, 60). <br><br>Craving is measured via the OCDS (Obsessive-Compulsive Drinking Scale) and VAS (visual analog scale).

Name Time Method Is there an association between volume-regulating peptides (ANP and vasopressin) and calcium balance?<br><br>Via blood withdrawal at 5 differnt time points, volume-regulating peptides (ANP and vasopressin) will be measured.
