Exclusion Criteria

- Prgenancy
- Minors
- inability to consent
- patients who are incarcerated or are institutionalized involuntarily by law or authorities

Evaluation if there is a correlation between the postoperative dynamic course of the biomarkers bio-ADM, penKid and DPP3 and occurrence of complications following esophagectomy

Evaluation if there is a difference between the postoperative course of the biomarkers DPP3, penKid and bio-ADM and conventional blood testing in regard to onset of changes in the setting of complications as well as a correlation to the extend of complications.
