入选标准
- •Diagnosed case of type 2 diabetes mellitus as per ADA guidelines
- •Both inpatients and out patients of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal after obtaining consent
排除标准
- •Acute diabetic complications â?? acutely ill
- •Acute Coronary Syndrome within 1 year
- •Hepatic dysfunction (Deranged LFT, USG - Cirrhosis)
- •eGFR <60 ml/min/1.73 m2
- •other causes of neuropathy â?? vitamin deficiency
- •Use of any medication in the previous 1 month that might influence Uric acid levels (eg:Aspirin, allopurinol, levodopa, thiazide diuretics, furosemide, ethambutol,pyrazinamide, salicylate, niacin or cyclosporine, glucocorticoids, tacrolimus,Xylitol, testosterone)
