Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •App intervention (Step 1\): Compulsive Internet Use Scale (CIUS) \>20 points. Brief telephone intervention (Step 2\): lack of success (i.e., CIUS still \>20\) in Step 1 and/or 3 criteria sensu DSM\-5 or 1 criterion sensu ICD\-11\. Online therapy: lack of success in Step 2 (i.e., CIUS \>20 and 3 criteria sensu DSM\-5 or 1 criterion sensu ICD\-11\) and additional severity of the disorder requiring clinical treatment (\>4 criteria sensu DSM\-5 or 3 criteria sensu ICD\-11\).
Exclusion Criteria
- •Utilization of psychotherapy in the last 4 weeks (according to self\-report) and no sufficient knowledge of the German language.
