• Patients confirmed to have an ischemic stroke
• Patients above 18 years of age
* Both men and women
• Barthel Index 0-50 (severely disabled patients)
• NIHSS score (The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Score) 5-20 on admission.
• Non- thrombolysis patients
• Stroke mimics (A nonvascular disease that presents with stroke-like symptoms, often indistinguishable from an actual stroke)
Eg: brain tumors (gliomas, meningiomas, adenomas)
* Toxic/ metabolic disorders ( hypoglycemia, hypercalcemia, hyponatremia, uremia, hepatic encephalopathy, hyperthyroidism, thyroid storm)
* Infectious disorders (meningio encephalitis)
* Psychological disorders
* Migraines
* Seizures
* Demyelination disorders
• Posterior circulation stroke
• Hemorrhagic strokes
• Patients without a caregiver, relative or a supporting family
