Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • ?Be between the ages of 18–65 years;
  • ?Have anterolateral acromial area pain or pain with active shoulder elevation \[17] and symptoms lasting 1 to 6 months;
  • ?Have one positive sign in each of the following 4 categories: presence of pain when resisting humeral external rotation or abduction, Jobe Test, Hawkins Test, Neer Test;
  • ?VAS score \= 40 mm.

Exclusion Criteria

  • ?Clinical signs of massive rotator cuff tears (a tear of greater than five centimetres in diameter) or the presence of two or more tendon tears \[18, 19];
  • ?Glenohumeral osteoarthritis (OA) or other inflammatory arthritis;
  • ?Frozen shoulder;
  • ?Fracture or dislocation of the shoulder;
  • ?History of neck or shoulder surgery;
  • ?Severe osteoporosis;
  • ?Neurological disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, tumour, Parkinsons disease or other neurological disorders
  • ?Pregnancy.
