简要总结
This study examines the nexus between Online Health Information Seeking (OHIS) behaviors and nutritional practices among young adults between 18 and 35 years of age, with particular emphasis on digital nutrition misinformation, patterns of online exposure, and the development of digital health nutrition literacy. Contemporary digital platforms, while facilitating unprecedented access to health-related information, simultaneously function as vectors for nutritional misinformation, contradictory dietary guidance, promotion of unrealistic body image, and dissemination of unsubstantiated supplement claims and restrictive dietary paradigms. This research endeavors to elucidate the mechanisms through which internet-based nutritional content influences dietary selection, meal consumption patterns, stress-induced eating behaviors, and comprehensive health outcomes within this demographic cohort. The primary objective constitutes an evaluation of digital health literacy competencies among young adults, specifically their capacity to critically appraise and validate evidence-based nutritional information within an information-saturated landscape. Secondary objectives encompass an assessment of source credibility evaluation through analysis of digital platform utilization and their consequent influence on dietary choices. A tertiary objective seeks to establish correlations between online information-seeking patterns and health biomarkers while promoting awareness regarding evidence-based nutritional resources. The methodological approach employs a mixed-methods design incorporating a single-arm, open-label intervention framework. Data collection instruments encompass demographic characteristics, online health information-seeking behaviors, exposure to digital influencers and platforms, perceived credibility assessments of online sources, e-health nutrition literacy measurements, structured 24-hour dietary recall protocols, supplement consumption documentation, and evaluation of stress-related and binge-eating tendencies. Instrument validation involves expert review by nutrition and public health specialists, followed by pilot testing to establish validity and reliability. Following institutional ethics approval and informed consent procedures, data will be systematically collected from approximately 150 young adults via online or offline survey administration for quantitative analysis, with 75 participants demonstrating elevated quantitative scores subsequently selected for qualitative investigation. Anticipated research outcomes include enhanced understanding of the relationship between digital nutritional literacy and health outcomes, examination of associations between elevated frequencies of suboptimal dietary patterns and reliance upon unreliable nutritional sources, and evaluation of how conflicting online information influences decision-making processes, potentially precipitating deleterious dietary behaviors and impulsive consumption patterns with consequent health implications.
