Inclusion Criteria
- •1. Parent or guardian is willing and able to give informed consent for participation in the study.
- •2. Male or Female, aged 0 to 5 years
- •3. Presenting to a GP practice or out-of-hours service with an acute illness of a maximum of 14
- •days duration
- •Inclusion criteria for qualitative interviews:
- •1. Recruited to main study
- •2. Able to conduct a telephone interview in English
Exclusion Criteria
- •1. Acute trauma
- •2. Clinically unstable warranting immediate care
- •3. Prior inclusion in the study
- •4. Unable to understand trial material in English
