1. Parent or guardian is willing and able to give informed consent for participation in the study.
2. Male or Female, aged 0 to 5 years
3. Presenting to a GP practice or out-of-hours service with an acute illness of a maximum of 14
days duration
Inclusion criteria for qualitative interviews:
1. Recruited to main study
2. Able to conduct a telephone interview in English
1. Acute trauma
2. Clinically unstable warranting immediate care
3. Prior inclusion in the study
4. Unable to understand trial material in English
