1.Vital tooth with no spontaneous pain
2.At least two-thirds of the root length still present.
3.No sign of internal or external root resorption.
4.Hemorrhage from the amputation site is easy to control.
1.Any of the above mentioned clinical or radiographic inclusion criteria if not satisfied.
2.Hemostasis could not be achieved within 5 min by direct contact with a wet cotton pellet.
3.Before material placement, the remaining radicular tissue was nonvital (with suppuration or purulence from the canals after access opening).
