Inclusion Criteria

•Age between 18 and 70 years old
•Diagnosed with diabetes of more than 6 months
•On at least one oral hypoglycaemic agent(s)
•HbA1c 7-9% (within the last 3 months on recruitment)
• Agree not to take other beverages, herbal or nutritional supplements for the duration of the study.

Exclusion Criteria

•Severe diabetic complication(s) including end-stage renal disease and proliferative retinopathy.
•Pregnancy
•On insulin therapy
