Inclusion Criteria

? Among patients who have visited Seoul National Dental Hospital, subjects who are in need of oral examinations.
? Adult male and female patients between the ages of 19-75, have healthy or periodontally compromised teeth.

Exclusion Criteria

? Subjects who fall under periodontitis grade B, when the tooth with most severe bone loss is used to calculate the value of % bone loss/age.
? Subjects who have taken antibiotics within the past 3 months.
? Subjects who have taken immunosuppressants (methotrexate, leflunomide, tacrolimus, cyclosporin, azathioprine) or corticosteroids (oral or IV injection) within the past 3 months.
? Subjects with uncontrolled hypertension of diabetes.
? Subjects with severe conditions relating to, or concomitant cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, kidney disease, liver disease, blood system disease and neuropsychiatric disease.
? Subjects with hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism.
? Pregnant women.
? Subjects with autoimmune diseases.
? Subjects with an ongoing disease or history of malignant tumors in the jaw bone.
? Patients with ongoing issues or history of alcohol or drug abuse within 1 year.
? Subjects with oral ulcers, Herpes simplex or Herpes zoster, fungal or bacterial infections, or any other inflammatory conditions affecting the oral mucosa unrelated to periodontitis.
? Other cases in which the subjects’ participation may be considered inappropriate due to ethical reasons or may compromise the results of research.
