Inclusion Criteria

All patients of age greater than 18 years and less than 70 years with diagnosis of large or massive hernia.

Midline ventral hernias (primary and secondary) with defects of 5-12cms.

Patients with ASA-I & II

Exclusion Criteria

Pregnant and lactating patients.

Patients having a stoma.

Patients having active infections, sinus or fistula at hernia site related to previous surgery.

Morbidly obese patients with BMI greater than 37.5 kg/m2.

Obstructive or totally irreducible hernia or emergency operations.
