FOR CASES:
Diagnosed cases of Psoriasis who are willing to provide informed consent for the study
Diagnostic criteria for cases of psoriasis
1.Well-demarcated, symmetric and erythematous plaques with overlying silvery scale
2.Auspitz sign positive
3.Koebnerâ??s Phenomenon positive
4.Candle grease sign positive
FOR CONTROLS:
Healthy individuals having no history of any skin disease or any other disease for the past 6 months and willing to provide informed consent for the study.
1.Patients with pregnancy and lactation, uncontrolled diabetes and hypertension, any other serious systemic disorders like severe anaemia (haemoglobin % <06.00 mg/dl), jaundice, liver disorders, renal failure, tuberculosis, cancers etc.
2.Participants not willing to provide informed consent for the study.

Name Time Method To measure the difference in exposure of manasa bhavas in Psoriatic patients and healthy individuals and assess the etiopathological role of manasa bhava in Psoriatiic patients using a newly developed validated objective questionnaire.Timepoint: 1.5 years

Name Time Method To assess the level of anxiety using HAS Scale, Emotional component using BEIS-10, Status of disease severity using PASI Scale, status of satwa saara and Thriguna using validated scales,and the inter relationship between Satwasaaratha,Thriguna,anxiety,emotional status and disease severity in study participantsTimepoint: 2 years
