简要总结
The postpartum period (Soothika kala) is an important stage that affects the long term physical, mental, and social health of both mother and child. Ayurveda emphasizes Soothikacharya, a set of postnatal care practices that help restore the mother’s strength, balance the dhatus, and support recovery after childbirth. However, due to modernization, nuclear family systems and lifestyle changes, traditional Ayurvedic postnatal practices are gradually declining.
This study aims to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practices (KAP) related to Soothikacharya among postpartum women in Pallichal Panchayath. It will also identify gaps in awareness and barriers to practicing these traditional postnatal care methods.
A cross sectional survey will be conducted among postpartum women using a semi structured questionnaire. The collected data will be analyzed using appropriate statistical methods to evaluate their awareness and practices of Ayurvedic postnatal care.
The findings of the study may help improve awareness and promote the integration of traditional Ayurvedic postpartum care practices for better maternal health outcomes.
