Inclusion Criteria
Patients admitted in the Hospital das Clinicas, Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of Sao Paulo; age over 18 years; isolation of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
Exclusion Criteria
Volunteers carry cystic fibrosis; patients with chronic osteomyelitis; carry infection related to foreign body; topic pregnancy with a live fetus; negative nasal swab for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Difference between the number of patients decolonized by Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus after decolonization therapy in the experimental group with silver sulfadiazine and placebo group. The evaluation of nasal decolonization be performed by culturing for MRSA nasal swabs.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Difference between the number of patients infected by Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus after decolonization therapy in the experimental group with silver sulfadiazine and placebo group. The evaluation of the incidence of infection will be performed by the Hospital Infection Control Committee.
