Inclusion Criteria

American Society of Anesthesiologist physical status 1-2, undergoing trans sphenoidal surgery for pituitary tumours at Post Graduate Institue for Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, will be enrolled in the study.

Exclusion Criteria

•Any severe airway disease/major cardiovascular risk factors/uncontrolled hypertension.

•Severe hepatic or renal disease.

•Any preoperative neurological deficit/GCS <15/unconscious patient.

•Psychological disease and medications.

•History of alcohol or drug abuse.

•History of taking drugs which effect psychomotor performance

•Patients with untoward intra operative events in whom post-operative mechanical ventilation may be required.

•Patientâ??s refusal.
