Inclusion Criteria

(1) Adult patients (15-60 years) with recurrent tinea corporis, cruris or faciei or combinations of these attending our Dermatology OPD, will be the candidates of this study. Most of them present with an extensive form.

(2) They have a history of Cap Itraconazole intake (100mg twice daily for at least one month) without interruption and re-occurrence of similar form of tinea after stopping Itraconazole within a short period (one week to six weeks).

(3) They must have normal blood count, liver and renal function tests.

(4) Positive KOH smear on skin scraping.

(5) Regular follow up is possible and complied with to note the improvement and/or any other complications.

Exclusion Criteria

(1)Patients with Diabetes Mellitus or other immunocompromised disorders.

(2)Patients with H/O steroid or immunosuppressant medicines intake.

(3) Pregnant or lactating mother.

(4) Other family members will have chronic tinea infections.

(5) Patients with other form of tinea infection like tinea pedis, tinea manuum, tinea unguium etc.
