Inclusion Criteria
Age between 5 years to 18 years attending the department of Paediatrics KMC,Manipal with BMI between 85th-95th centile and >95th centile for age and sex.
Exclusion Criteria
Age <6years and >18 years
Hepatic or renal disease
Metabolic rickets
Malabsorption disorders
Hyperparathyroidsm and hypoparathyroidsm
Children on Vitamin D supplements.
Syndromic children
Hyperthyroidism
Children on steroid therapy

Name Time Method 1.Significant number of obese children will have Vitamin D deficiency <br/ ><br>2.Insulin Resistance ,Fasting glucose level and Dyslipidemia is higher in obese children with Vitamin D deficiency than in those with Vitamin D sufficiency. <br/ ><br>3.High LDL ,high triglyceride and low HDL in obese children with Vitamin D deficiency. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: At the end of 1 year 6 months from the day of approval <br/ ><br>
