The cross-sectional study of physical, biochemical and clinical parameters, genetics, and epigenetics of frailty in Thai community-dwelling older people
- Conditions
- Frailty status transition in the frail and pre-frail older peopleFrail, prefrail, pre-frail, robust, frailty status, older, elder, nutrition, kihon, kihon checklist, frail scale, MNA, GPAQ, calf circumference, TGDS-15, depression, cognitive impairment, genetics, epigenetics, DNA methylation, B vitamins

- Brief Summary
This study highlights the significant prevalence of frailty and pre-frailty among the Thai elderly. The identification of DNA methylation markers associated with frailty has the potential to revolutionise early detection strategies. This novel approach has the potential to significantly improve healthcare delivery for the ageing population in Thailand and beyond.
