All young women attending the Gynaecology OPD of Lok Nayak Hospital in the age group of 15-25 years, with either a diagnosed case of PCOS, or are found to have PCOS on subsequent investigations, and have attained menarche at least 2 years prior to the study.
Women who are a known case of
1. Type 2 diabetes mellitus
2. Congenial Adrenal Hyperplasia
3. Thyroid Dysfunction
4. Hyperprolactinemia
5. Ovarian tumors
6. Cushing Syndrome
7. Women who are taking medications known to affect plasma sex steroids such as anti-androgens, hormonal contraceptives and insulin-sensitizing drugs for atleast 3 months before the study.
