Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients who are treated in inpatient and outpatient specialized palliative care, who receive drugs that are potentially suitable for deep continuous sedation and who are at least 18 years old.
- •Specialized palliative care (SPC) physicians, nurses and other professionals (from psychology, spiritual care, social work). SPC patients \= 18 years and carers with capacity to give informed consent and ability to report on own experiences with sedation (e.g. intermittent sedation) or hypothetical clinical scenarios.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patients who are not treated in inpatient or outpatient specialized palliative care, patients who do not receive drugs that are potentially suitable for deep continuous sedation, patients under the age of 18\.
- •unable to speak sufficient German, too unwell or too distressed as judged by the clinical team.
