Patients fulfilling diagnostic criteria (masking vision, glare, object as if covered with a net, blurred vision for distant, visual acuity ranging from 6/9 - 6/60 and diagnosis confirmed by direct ophthalmoscopy and slit lamp)
Patients of age group 40 - 70
Patients of either gender
Patients ready to sign informed consent
Patients with senile mature and hyper mature cataract
Congenital, developmental, traumatic, complicated, or metabolic cataract and any other ocular pathology that can cause a diminution of vision were excluded from the study
