This is a prospective comparative study of 0.75% Ropivacaine and 0.5 % Bupivacaine in lower abdomen and lower limb surgeries under spinal anaesthesia. in this study we are comparing hemodynamic stability, sensory and motor blockade, cardiac stability, faster recovery, early mobilization and micturition

入选标准

  • Patients undergoing lower abdomen surgeries giving consent to participate in study.
  • Age between 18 to 65 years.
  • Body weight between 45 to 70 kg.
  • ASA grade I and II.

排除标准

  • Patients refusal ASA grade III and IV Patients with severe respiratory, cardiovascular, renal diseases, obesity Infection Coagulopathy Spinal deformity Allergic to local anaesthetic drugs History of seizure and neurological deficit Age below 18 years and above 65 years weight below 45kg and above 70 kg.

Expected more hemodynamic stability in 0.75% Ropivacaine compared to bupivacaine during spinal anaesthesia intraoperatively & post operatively

  • Expected better cardiac stability in 0.75% Ropivacaine than Bupivacaine(24 hours)
  • expected early sensory & motor block in 0.75 % Ropivacaine than Bupivacaine(24 hours)
  • Expected faster recovery early mobilization & micturition in Ropivacaine compared to bupivacaine(24 hours)
