Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1)Diagnosis of menopause by a gynecologist according to STRAW study criteria and post menopausal period for up to 5 years.
  • 2)Age group of 40–60 years.
  • 3)Be willing and be able to practice yoga and walk.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1)Women who are already practicing Yoga or any
  • known regular exercise regime.
  • 2)Women with surgical menopause.
  • 3)Receiving Hormonal therapy.
  • 4)Significant cardiovascular and other co morbid disease.
  • 5)Active psychological disorder or other
  • medical disorders.
  • 6)Malignancies in the last 5 years.
  • 7)Having major surgery scheduled within 3 month of baseline visit.
  • 8)Orthopedic limitations.
  • 9)Beta blockers and lipid lowering drugs.10)Large weight loss- 20 or more kg in the past
  • 11)Alcoholism, Smoking
