Inclusion Criteria
Patients being operated under dept of ENT or Surgical Oncology for carcinoma of tongue during the study period
Exclusion Criteria
1) Patients who have undergone radiotherapy or any other treatment for the same illness
2) Patients with previous history of any malignancy in upper aero-digestive tract
3) Patients with malignancy extending beyond oral tongue- buccal mucosa or mandible
4) Patients lost to follow up or develop recurrence during follow up period
5) Patients with pre-existing speech or swallowing disorders
