Inclusion Criteria
1.Age >24 hour (h) and <=10 days
2.Apgar at 5 min greater than 6
3.Serum total bilirubin (STB) less than 20 mg/dL
4.Exclusively breast fed
5.Body weight >2.5 Kg
6.Gestational age >=37 weeks.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Hyper-bilirubinemia requiring exchange transfusion
2. Rh hemolytic disease
3.Evidence of hemolysis in peripheral smear
4.Positive direct Coombâ??s test (DCT)
5.Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency
