Inclusion Criteria:
1.Adults >18years up to 70 years
2.ASA physical status I & II.
3. Ability to provide informed consent.
4.Elective laparoscopic surgery under general anaesthesia including laparoscopic cholecystectomy and laparoscopic hysterectomy.
Exclusion Criteria:
1.Local anaesthesia allergy
2.Liver diseases
3.Pregnancy
4.Current tobacco use
5.Pre-existing disorders of gastrointestinal tract
6.Use of antiemetics within 48hr prior to surgery
7.Chronic use of anticholinergic medication or chronic treatment with opioids
9.Previous history of PONV
10.History of motion sickness
11.Patients having torsade de pointes, slow heart rate and prolonged QT interval on ECG.
