Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •aged 65 years or older
  • •physically impaired
  • •dysphagia diagnosed using the FOIS by a speech therapist

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\-cognitively impaired (suffering from dementia)
  • •\-in coma or vegetative state
  • •\-terminally ill
  • •\-dependent on mechanical ventilation
  • •\-in day\-care or in short\-term care
  • •\-already using an oral rinse
