Through this cross-sectional comparative study, we intend to compare the cytokine and metabolic profile of the pemphigus and pemphigoid group of patients with the control group.This study will be conducted over two years, with a sample size of 42 (21 in each group). 21 new cases of Pemphigus (and its variants) and Pemphigoid group of diseases, diagnosed by immunofluorescence studies (DIF/IIF) or serological methods, and consenting to participate in the study will be included in the case group. 21 age and sex-matched controls will also be recruited. Cytokine and metabolomic analysis will be carried out on all participants and the results obtained will be analyzed by statistical tools such as R, Mass Profiler Plus, and SPSS. All the analyzed data will be interpreted and reported. Thus by this study, we intend to add information to the literature regarding the role of cytokine profile in these conditions, which may be helpful in the future for coming up with treatment modalities targeting this pathway.

- •All new cases of Pemphigus (and its variants) and Pemphigoid group of diseases diagnosed by immunofluorescence studies(DIF/IIF) or serological methods.
排除标准
- •Patients unwilling to give consent for the study or investigations.
- •Patients who are in remission.
