入排标准
入选标准
- •Patients with clinical features of bacterial meningitis in the form of acute onset of fever ( < 1 week duration) and signs of CNS involvement such as convulsions, lethargy, altered sensorium, neck stiffness.
- •Laboratory criteria (Any one of the following)
- •o Positive CSF or Latex Agglutination Test (LAT) for H.influenzae, S.pneumoniae, and N.meningitidis
- •o >10 WBC/ml of CSF, with blood culture positive for any bacteria
- •o >100 WBC/ml with >50% polymorphonuclear cells and CSF glucose <50% of blood glucose
- •o >1000 WBC/ml of CSF with >75% polymorphonuclear cells
排除标准
- •Patients with features of raised ICP
- •Previously received antibiotics > 24 hours ,
- •Developmental delay,
- •Severe malnutrition
- •Previously documented immunodeficiency
- •Infected lumbar puncture site
