1. Patients fulfilling the Ayurvedic as well as modern criteria of diagnosis of OA which are Sandhishula-pain in the knee joint, Sandhishoth-swelling, Sandhihanti-stiffness of joint, Sandhiatopa-crepitus in joint, Akunchan Prasarane Vedana-pain during movement of joint, Vatpurna drti Sparsh- on palpation appears as a bag inflated with air.
2. Patient with signs and symptoms of the knee joint.
3. Patients between the age group of 30 - 70 years of both genders will be selected.
4.Patients without any previous anatomical deformity
1. Female patients having pregnancy or lactating period.
2. Patient with the associated disease which affects the outcomes or completion of the treatment i.e., cardiovascular disorders, osteoporosis, hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, cancer, tuberculosis, heart diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, kidney and liver disorders.
3. The patient has a past traumatic history and complete loss of articular cartilage.
4. Patients who have taken medication of corticosteroids within the last 3 months and anti-inflammatory, analgesics medicine within the last 7 days.
