Inclusion Criteria

Patients aged of 3-7 years undergoing surgeries in elective operation theatre with ASA physical status I-III

Exclusion Criteria

1.Developmental disabilities or on psychoactive medications

2.Impaired vision or hearing or language barriers

3.Children with history of previous Anesthetic exposure, chronic disease, prematurity, and growth retardation

Primary Outcome Measures

Preoperative anxiety using mYPAS score from baseline till 20 min post premedication with oral midazolamTimepoint: 5 minutes post arrival to preoperative room, <br/ ><br>at the end of 6 minutes of play, <br/ ><br>at 20 minutes post oral midazolam while shifting to operation theatre.

1.Influence of age and gender on the effectiveness of play distraction and video clips in reducing anxiety during premedication. <br/ ><br>2.Parental anxiety using STAI (State trait anxiety inventory) score <br/ ><br>3.Parental satisfaction using Parental satisfaction questionnaire. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: 5 minutes post arrival to preoperative room, <br/ ><br>at the end of 6 minutes of play, <br/ ><br>at 20 minutes post oral midazolam while shifting to operation theatre.
