Inclusion Criteria
Patients over 18 years of age; undergoing elective orthopedic surgeries of the lower limbs at the Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre; with acceptance and signature of the free and informed consent term; with the possibility of performing the surgical procedure under spinal anesthesia; a minimum hospital stay forecast of 24 hours.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients with a history of urological problems; severe cognitive disorders; patients who were unable to urinate spontaneously before surgery.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Evaluate the incidence of urinary retention in both groups, as verified by the need for urinary catheterization and the time required until the first spontaneous urination
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Assess the incidence of nausea and vomiting within 24 hours;Evaluation of postoperative pain in both groups in 12 and 24 hours. Evaluation performed using the visual analog scale of pain;Evaluate the consumption of opioids (morphine and codeine), verified by the dose used by each patient in 24 hours
