Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Full term healthy infants, less than 3 months of postnatal age, either exclusive or partial breast fed, who will attend the immunization clinic for first DPT vaccination according to universal immunization programme.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. All infants who have required hospital stay for more than 48 hrs
  • •2\. Perinatal asphyxia ( 5 mins apgar score less than 7\) or delayed cry if born at home
  • •3\. IUGR wt less than 10th percentile for gestational age
  • •4\. Pre\- term deliveries ( less than 37 weeks of gestation)
  • •5\. Previous surgery
