Inclusion Criteria
a.Inpatient subjects of either sex >18 years from Emergency Wards and ICU suspected/diagnosed with severe sepsis or septic shock.
b.The willingness of the patientsâ?? legal representatives to give written informed and signed consent
Exclusion Criteria
a.Subjects discharged against medical advice.
b.Subjects requiring surgical intervention
c.Admission for primary burns
d.Admission following coronary artery bypass graft
