Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Healthy, co\-operative dental patients aged 3\-8 years
- •2\. Clinically presenting asymptomatic proximal cavitated carious lesion involving dentin in primary molar without pulp exposure (ICDAS II 4 \& 5\).
- •3\. Radiographically the radiolucency involving dentin
- •4\. Radiographic evidence of intact lamina dura
- •5\. Absence of calcification in the pulp canal as determined by radiograph;
- •6\. Tooth restorable
- •7\. No evidence of furcation/inter\-radicular pathosis.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Children with special health care needs or any medical conditions
- •2\. Deep carious lesions with close proximity to the pulp
- •3\. Signs of pulpal pathology such as history of spontaneous pain, tenderness to palpation or percussion, presence of abscess or fistula, presence of abnormal mobility
- •4\. Radiographic evidence of internal root resorption or peri\-apical pathosis
