A RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED CLINICAL TRIAL TO STUDY THE EFFECT OF TAGARADI VRANROPAK TAILA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF PADADARI WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO SUSHRUT SAMHITA

Skin diseases are mainly occurs due to lack of hygiene, habits And work place.Padadari is one such skin disease mentioned in Ayurvedic texts like Sushrut Samhita, Madhav Nidan, Vangsen Samhita etc.Acharya Sushrut has mentioned Padadari in Nidansthan kshudrarognidana. Padadari is a vatapradhanroga symptoms like Atichankraman that is walking for a long distance or long time on rough ground without using Footwear leads to Vataprakopa and causes increase in dryness at padatala(foot) and results in padadari(cracks on feet).In Padadari many small cracks are developed on foot sole and many times they are painful in nature. Farmers, housewives, field workers are more often prone to this diseases due to their habbits, type of work and lifestyle. Sushrut Samhita mentions various dravyas and formulations which have excellent vranropak or healing properties. Tagaradi Vranropak Tail is one such formulation mentioned in Sushrut Samhita Chikitsa Sthan Dvivraniya Chikitsa Adhyay. Considering the vranropaka or healing properties of Tagaradi Vranropak Taila and as padadari is a vatapradhan roga considering the vatashamak properties of Tagaradi vranropak taila. Local application of this Taila will be given to the patients to see the result.
