Name Time Method Child preparation for surgery is the focus of attention of the health team for the traumatic potential of surgical procedures and for being a source of stress and anxiety in childhood. In view of the vulnerability of the child to the timeless environment, together with the lack of guidance throughout the hospitalization process, it is expected that this study will contribute with relevant information to increase methodologies that focus on the effectiveness of psychological intervention on the behavioral repertoire of hospitalized children and their companions and support actions and interventions that reduce stress and optimize the environment.
